Makita DUR189 18V LXT Cordless Line Trimmer

The Makita DUR189Z is a lightweight and compact line trimmer powered by an 18V Li-ion LXT slide-type battery (not included) to power the 18V brushless motor. This model has a soft start and constant speed control to apply additional power to the motor to maintain constant speed under load, to deliver up to 240-watt maximum output and 6,000 rpm.

The DUR189Z is equipped with 3-speed settings, a two-stage safety trigger with electronic power on/off button, a reverse rotation system to allow for quickly clearing the trimmer head of tangled grass and weeds, an electric brake for increased operator safety and a speed indicator on the control panel. This shows 3 times rpm levels plus the status of overload, overheat and over-discharge. Overload protection turns on the indicator light and automatically stops the motor.
