The Stihl FS 70 RC-E Petrol Brushcutter is an extremely robust 0.9 kW petrol brushcutter with loop handle.  The 2 mix engine consumes less fuel and gives out less than 70% emissions compared to conventional two-stroke engines which don’e have the 2 mix technology.

Featuring an ErgoStart starting procedure for increased comfort. It also has an optimised trimmer angle for working on large areas of tough grass.

Features

Reduced-emission engine technology

2-stroke engine with stratified charge. A fuel-free layer of air is created between the burned charge in the combustion chamber and the fresh charge in the crankcase, reducing the amount of fuel lost during the charge cycle. This results in more power with a lower weight, up to 20% lower fuel consumption than regular 2-stroke engines and significantly reduced exhaust emissions.

Manual fuel pump (Purger)

A small fuel pump delivers fuel to the carburettor at the touch of a button. This reduces the number of starting strokes required following extended breaks in operations.

STIHL ErgoStart (E)

STIHL ErgoStart cuts the effort required to start the tool by half, while the starter cord can be pulled at just one third of the normal force. A coil spring between the starter cord and the crankshaft smoothes out force peaks, making them virtually undetectable through the cord itself.

Simplified starting system

Simply set the choke, pump the fuel primer, pull the starter cord and away you go! The running machine then switches off after a brief press of the stop button. Once the machine is at a standstill, the ignition activates again automatically. Thus the ignition is always ready for starting.

Loop handle (R)

The loop handled grass trimmers and brushcutters are ideal for working in areas where space is limited, e.g. thinning between bushes and shrubs.

Multi-function control handle

Easy, comfortable thumb-operated control means the operator’s hand never leaves the handle.

Basic harness

For use with loop handle machines.

I recently purchased a £180-00 68cc trueshopping strimmer to replace my 5yr old Ryobi, this was a disaster as it was no more powerful than my exsisting, it was extremely heavy, a nightmare to start, and nearly broke my arm when the pully mechanism broke on the second day I used it. I returned the machine immediately.
Not wishing to make the same mistake I looked to the better quality brands STIHL being top of the list albeit more expensive, fortunately I found Radmore / Tucker who had the best prices on the internet for top quality brands which would have allowed me to purchase the STIHL FS56 with a curved shaft for the same £180-00, however I required a straight shaft FS56 which was £230-00, on studying the models I realised I could have the straight shaft FS70RC-E for £260-00 just £30-00 more and also with more power and output, considering the next model increasing by the same amount of power would be well over £100-00 I felt this was well worth the extra 30 quid.
When the STIHL FS70 was delivered I thought they had sent me an empty box unbelievably light, the set up and instructions were easy and simple, and I was ready to start in 15mins, the starting of the machine was instant and so easy, a 5yr old would have more strength than is required to start this machine, the instructions advise not using full power while running in, trust me you certainly don’t need to use full power, with only a 27cc engine this machine is unbelievably powerful, way more than my old Ryobi and as ridiculous as this may sound even more powerful than the 68cc trueshopping machine, I was initially concerned as to the size of fuel tank but as the machine uses way less fuel this has not been any issue, I have approx. 3-5 acres so do quite a lot of strimming the STILH FS70 not only has the build quality to be reliable and last it has more power than I will ever require, but even more than that the light weight and easy start makes it an absolute pleasure to use, this is an unbelievable piece of machinery that I am well proud to have hanging in my garage.
Just one final point I made my purchased during this pandemic which created shortage of stocks but Radmore Tucker went out of there way even paying the express delivery to ensure I received my strimmer in a timely fashion for which I am very grateful and shows dealing with an established reliable agent to be just as important as the quality of product.

Excellent machine. Slightly heavier than my previous machine (a Makita) but the harness is well balanced so you are not aware of this. Simple to start, robust and powerful so gets the job done quickly & efficiently. Price from R &T couldn’t be beaten and their sales and after sales service is excellent .

I run a commercial gardening business and had to replace my old Stihl strimmer and needed one quickly.I have delt with Radmore and Tucker before and found them very professional with no dramas to deal with and was not surprised to have my new strimmer which is a Stihl FS70RC delivered and ready to use within a week.Excellent company which I cannot fault in any way and would certainly do business with them In the future.
