Given that the saw is brand new, it does of course work perfectly. The claims in the advertising refer to a power boost function, and I can confirm that when the saw slows mid deep cut, that a squeeze on the throttle produces a snarl of power that rips through whatever is slowing the chain. The real test will be after six months when the machine is run in and settled down. So far so good, no issues.

As a newcomer to R&T I can definitely say that the service from R&T is very good. In terms of the chainsaw; I own a Makita electric chainsaw that was fine for small job around our previous house, but after having moved to a property with 17 acres, the electric saw is in way over its head. It runs flat after about 20 mins of heavy cutting and then I have to wait nearly two hours for it to re-charge. In comes the 560XP. This thing is a pro grade saw no doubt about it. Took me a a good half an hour to orientate myself around the new unit but after that its a great saw. Powerful, responsive and the right choice for what I need it to do. Had a few issues getting it started, but that’s because I had flooded the carb by over pumping it. YouTube to the rescue to see how to start it when its flooded so all good. Would I recommend it… definitely.
