The STIHL electric shredder GHE 150 combines ease of use, performance and mobility. This impressive machine can shred branches cut from hedges or trees into tiny chippings in no time at all. This is made possible by the integrated sandwich-type blade unit with additional wing blades and ripping blades, which operates with minimal vibrations even when shredding branches with a diameter of up to 35 mm. A powerful motor delivers the constant power required for the machine to operate efficiently. The cloverleaf opening is recessed into the feed chute of the garden shredder. It offers advantages when feeding tree cuttings with wide branches or woody hedge cuttings. Thanks to its transport wheels, the electric shredder can be moved easily to a protected storage place after the work has been done. When you finish gardening, the STIHL GHE 150 can tidy your garden in no time at all and generate material ideal for high-quality compost.

Features

Blades with sandwich construction
The special sandwich-type blade system on the STIHL shredder shreds the material with minimal vibrations. Additional wing blades and ripping blades shred the material perfectly and ensure the shredding chamber remains clean.

Feed chute with cloverleaf opening
The short, inclined feed chute with cloverleaf opening is positioned at an ergonomically favourable height, allowing branch material with side shoots to be fed safely and conveniently into the STIHL garden shredder.

Soundproofed feed chute
The large feed chute facilitates feeding of the STIHL shredder. The soundproofed feed chute reduces working noise when shredding in the garden. The integrated spray protection provides a shield against swirling dirt.

Safety lock
The electromagnetic safety lock prevents the garden shredder from starting automatically during maintenance operations or when the blade is being changed, for example. The safety switch is integrated in the opening mechanism on the STIHL shredder. As soon as the closure screws on the machine are unscrewed, the safety switch is tripped and the current flow is interrupted.

Excellent price on this high quality garden shredder from Stihl.
    Easy online ordering and checkout.
Delivered when Radmore & Tucker said it would be.

Only issue is the self assembly of the feed chute which requires a 5 lobe pin security screw bit to tighten the security screws. These bits are on restricted distribution to the public, and are not supplied with the shredder by Stihl. However Radmore & Tucker stood up, and are supplying one FOC as soon as they obtain one. This is customer service of the highest order, which you don’t often get in this day and age.

Service from R&T second to none- the delivery man was very accommadating .
I wanted a Makita shredder but sold out, so went for a Stihl having had several excellent machines over the years especially the battery powered . The Shredder was as it said on the box excellent Except for the loading chute.
I’m afraid the Sthil designers went over board with H and S, the clover leaf loading mouth is a pest and because of the resistance of the plastic lips of the clover leaf design I found as a 82 year old I had to work hard against the resistance of the Black plastic lips. Loading to put it bluntly is pain and very slow. I used a dowel push rod to get the shredding material to the cutting blades. In the past I have had a B and D. under powered shredder it loaded quicker than this Stihl. I own a Mc Clary shredder it feeds quickly and easily but the Honda engine is a nuisence to start and very noisey. Sorry Herr Sthil but Health and Safety designs has spoilt and otherwise excellent machine.
Having paid my money I have to live with it . School fees – never buy a machine without a test run or demmo.
Only light at the end of the tunnel is Radmore and Tuckermay be able to help with a demmo loading techinque as it may well be me . Operator at fault- past it!
