The Makita BL4040 is a 40V Max Li-ion XGT 4 Ah battery, a new type of cell with increased water and drop impact resistance. Communication between the battery and the charger (not included) allows reading more detailed information on the battery usage history. The BL4040 communicates digitally between the battery and the tool, the battery and the charger and is equipped with 4 LED battery fuel gauge with a check button, cooling system for maximum battery life and has been designed to use with products in continuous operation.
The XGT range of tools and batteries have a built-in program that provides digital communication between the battery and the tool, allowing for the battery not only to talk with the tool but also for the tool to talk to the battery.
The BL4040 charges in approximately 45 minutes.
