  1. Nate (verified owner)

Fantastic machine, cuts very well, runs quieter than a 2 stroke, very well made, holds a decent amount of fuel.

The only issue I have with it is the fuel cap, it vibrates loose and dumps your fuel if you don’t screw it on mega tight.

Other than that so far the machine is flawless, very happy with purchaae

  2. Raymond Ferns (verified owner)

Made light work of the enormous hedge I had been ignoring for the last 3 years. Easy to change the angle of the cutter even while in use. Easy to start and folds to store. Best of all for me is the 4 stroke engine which saves me a lot of pfaffing around getting the mixture right!

  3. DDT Services,, Dumfries.

A Good machine at an affordable price. Runs quiet and is surprisingly light to use as the weight seems perfectly balanced.

  4. Graham (verified owner)

Would recommend put hssi g from R&T, good comms, fast delivery and well priced.
The Makita EN4951SH is a quality long reach trimmer. Very easy to start and use. Well balanced and easy to adjust the cutting angle whilst running.
I purchased this and the HSA25 and both are perfect for all my garden trimming needs and no more leads!!
    Recommended.

Great piece of kit , Made the job so easy. delivery next day. ?

  6. Jeff Platt (verified owner)

Speedy delivery and good price. Bought to tackle overgrown shrubs and conifers, it is proving powerful, well balanced and easy to use. All round excellent purchase.

  7. Nick Allen (verified owner)

Speedy delivery from Radmore & Tucker. Made short work of heavily overgrown shrubs. The unit is quite heavy after 10 minutes of use, especially if reaching up to high branches but overall a good tool to have.

  8. Michael Stubbs (verified owner)

Great product. Better than 2 stroke and more powerful. Staff were so helpful and got it to me next day even at Christmas. Would highly recommend buying from these guys

  9. tony.mcmain (verified owner)

This is a really good machine. Four stroke saves having to mix 2 stroke and it does run much cleaner and significantly quieter. It comes fully assembled you just need to add the oil, which is supplied, and some 4 star petrol. It’s easy to start, easy to handle and cuts really well. Overall it great value for money.

  10. Mike Coggins (verified owner)

As owner of a normal reach makita hedge trimmer I was already sold on the general reliability and quality of this brand.
As a replacement for another brand I was already pretty sure what aspects were best suited to my needs and went for the shorter reach model. I’m not disappointed and it looks the business, starts well, quiet, does the job and seems well built. Once again it shows generally you only get what you pay for.
R&T responded quickly and gave really good customer service.
Seems like Parcelforce.com tried but failed to destroy the unit, although from the packaging it looked like they had a good try.

Bottom line would shop here again.

  11. John Winskill (verified owner)

Excellent service from Radmore and Tucker as per usual. Superb customer service and they always check the machinery before dispatch. I haven’t used the Makita pole hedge cutter yet although consistent with their other machinery I have I am sure it will meet expectations and beyond. One huge advantage with this equipment is that it is four stroke which saves a lot of precision in mixing two stroke mixture. I have bought from Radmore and Tucker before and very much recommend their attention to Competitiveness Customer Service and satisfaction. Thank you R and M.

  12. Paul Godwin

Early days but out of the box and running, but not put to full use just yet. The quality of manufacture and materials used is as good as other similar tools I have from another manufacturer, for which their equivalent was almost double the price! I have no reason to believe that it will not do the job I bought it for, very well.

  13. Mike (verified owner)

Had to wait for delivery as out of stock, eventually delivered by the company themselves…great touch.
The Makita pole hedge cutter arrived with fuel and oil in having been tested at Radmore & Tucker. The 4-stroke engine starts easily, is quiet and delivers plenty of power when needed. Having been looking for a while to purchase a quality pole hedge cutter this item came top of my list and the price was amazing. Great product and service.

  14. William Kennedy (verified owner)

Great machine easy to start and we’ll balanced good service from radmore and tucker speedy delivery will certainly buy from them again if I need to purchase garden machinery also recommend them to other people

  15. Phil Hanlon (verified owner)

Brilliant machine, brilliant service and will buy again from Radmore & Tucker, everything just perfect.

  16. L Hopkins (verified owner)

Glad I went for this model which is a fixed length as its heavy enough (the extending version was very top heavy) but not overly heavy considering its a 4 stroke machine. It cuts really well, especially laurel and leylandii. It struggles a little with woodier stuff like beech or hawthorn but it manages. Its reasonably quiet too which is good for me and the neighbours! Only one small issue is when I tilt the head it doesn’t always immediately engage cutting gears but a wiggle of the black hand lever (which also is a little loose and I can’t tighten screws) and it is working – I don’t know if this is just my machine or a design issue? But overall I’m very happy with my purchase and only knocked one star off because of this issue.

Excellent service from Radmore and Tucker, prompt delivery and item well packaged. The Makita EN 4951 is very well made, starts first time every time, much quieter than a 2 stroke, very well balanced and cuts like a knife through butter. Although now retired I was a professional gardener for many years and have owned different makes of hedge trimmers and can honestly say the Makita is up there with the best of them.
