Easy to use new Makita 196256-2 hedge trimmer attachment to fit the Makita split shaft range of machinery. Boasting a 500mm cutting blade with a tip protector at the end to help keep the blade protected even when working close to paving areas.

The cutting head is adjustable through stages which are easily adjusted using the red pull bar, this pull piece releases the head allowing you to set the angle you wish to work at. The blade completely folds back on itself for easy and safe transportation and storage.

To add the attachment – push the selected attachment into the female connector until it locks into place.

To remove the attachment – press the red button on the shaft and pull the attachment out from the female connector.

    Excellent piece of equipment at a very competitive price. It is quite heavy but is very well made and when using the shoulder harness balances very well. Enabled me to get high parts of my hedge cut without the need for step ladders, just what I needed.

    Very good hedge trimmer a lot bigger than my old one. I would say it’s quite heavy on its own but when attached to the motor well ballanced. Has a good degree of cutting angles so will cut most things. Well priced and very happy with it.

    Purchased this to go with the DUX60 battery head unit together with an extension. Very well made piece of kit, as another user said, pretty heavy but less heavy than my petrol unit. Cuts well and nice and sharp out of the box.

    There were some issues with delivery (COVID related) which could not be helped but Amy at Radmore’s was excellent in helping resolve the issues and provided a top tier service. So if all working their provide that level of customer care then nobody will be able to fault Radmore and T’s customer services.

    Purchased to go with the 4 stroke engine unit. Done a nice job of my Hedgerow’s that surround my garden.
    A bit heavy as someone else stated, but i never expected it to be light. First time i have ever used a tool like this, so will get use to it. Especially how many times the hedgerow needs cutting back through the summer. Very happy with this purchase, feels well made. Good service received from Radmore & Tucker once again.

    Recently purchased,Quality addition to makita multi tool.
    I have used this on privet and bamboo hedgeing with great success.
    although this will trim back Bamboo if you keep the angle at about 30 degrees,
    and up to 8mm thick without jamming.
    Certainly a well built piece of kit, keep it well maintained for long term durability ,

    Would appear to ba an excellent piece of kit, and this was the best price available.
    Probably deserves 5 stars, but I’ve only had it a few weeks, so can’t comment on its robustness, so holding one star back for now.

    My previous Makita hedge trimming attachment, of an older design, was good until the gear box casing split. New design is quite different, so I’m hoping it will last somewhat longer.
