I always thought that leaf blowers were a bit of a gimmick but I couldn’t have more wrong. I normally spend hours raking the leaves in the garden but no longer. The Stihl made quick work of sucking the leaves into the bag. So impressed that I shall be buying a second machine for my holiday home. As usual Radmore and Tucker are always very competitively priced and provide free postage.

Excellent machine, easy start, great blower, in suction mode it readily collects and shreds leaves although care is needed on a gravel covered yard as it will readily pick up stones which could damage the cutter and fan.
A bit fiddly to assemble but that maybe just my old arthritic hands.
Changing the blower/suction nozzles could be made easier and do away with the need to find a screwdriver to depress the locking tab.
Having said that I am very pleased with this addition to my Stihl stable.
I would not hesitate to buy again from Radmore and Tucker as said above, competitive price and next day delivery.

Great bit of kit.
I’ve had a B&Q blower/vac for several years and was never very happy with it. What a difference with the Stihl !
Blower is powerful but light and easy to handle whilst in Vac mode it sucks up leaves with gusto and sheds them perfectly.
My only criticism is the time it takes to switch from blow to suck (different fittings needed for each task) but that’s a small inconvenience when it performs so well.

1. £248.50 is a good price – not seen it at the rrp (£380) but still represents really good value.
2. Prompt delivery & well packaged.
3. Easy to assemble, although the method used for locking tubes in place is fiddly – eg. to change from vac to blow, you have to take the pipe off of the fan and add a different pipe to where the bag is attached. The plastic connectors twist to lock them into place and require a screwdriver (or similar) to release them. A simple ‘reverse’ switch would be much more user friendly but clearly is not an option here.
4. Really powerful….. so powerful, in fact, that it sucked up a long, dried cordyline leaf from nearly 2ft away. These are tough, stringy, nasty leaves that you could make rope with. Anyway, having consumed it, the leaf became wrapped around the blade and motor shaft. It then got so hot that it melted the plastic fan ’til it snapped and broke off! Only had it for 1 day and it’s already in for repair. In future I recommend keeping well away from anything that might wrap around the motor shaft and blade.
5. The bag and shoulder strap is brilliant – stores a lot of shredded leaves and is really easy to empty.
6. All in all, an excellent buy….. just be careful what you suck up!

Good machine, (which I’d expect from Stihl), lightweight and easy to start. Suction is a great improvement on the cheaper one I’ve had for the last nine years. The only disappointment, and the reason I haven’t given 5 stars, is the cheap and nasty vacuum and blower nozzles. The plastic is so thin that the vacuum almost sucks the sides in and assembling/disassembling them is a nuisance. The nozzles were far better made and easier to fit and remove on my older, cheaper model. Nonetheless, my initial test on leaves that have fallen recently was very impressive and it will serve the purpose when the autumn comes. Communication and delivery were very good.

Fab service as ever from Radmore & Tucker. Although they are local to me they are still the best for combination of price and service nationally. Even though I was happy to collect given Covid, they went the extra mile and even delivered to my home free of charge. Machine was PDI’d and setup / fuelled and as expected ran straight out of the box. Fantastic service and wouldn’t go anywhere else. Machine itself is great and as you would expect from Stihl. Was a toss up between that and the Husky equivalent but the Stihl was in stock. Has been great so far, though think the option of a bigger collecting bag from Stihl would be a good one.. No complaints from me and can thoroughly recommend Stihl and especially Radmore & Tucker….

I had to wait about 10 days for my Stihl Blower/Vac as it was currently out of stock with them when I ordered (I knew before ordering). Even in domestic use I was getting through a vac/blower every couple of years. Thought I would invest in a petrol one for the first time. The pre buying information and delivery were both very good from Radmore & Tucker .
The machine was easy to put together and both the blowing and vacuum functions are better than any electric machine I have ever used.
Obviously you need to wear ear defenders but I felt very little vibration (if any) whilst using it.
It is quick & simple to change from suck to blow and you don’t have to keeping dragging an electric cable around with you.
Starting is quick and easy as well.
I have only used it 3 times since it arrived but I am convinced it has been a good buy.

Nicely shredded garden material, into bag and then straight onto compost heap. Should have got it years ago. Not limited by length of electric flex.

This is a great machine. nice little features like the lock on the throttle so you can concentrate on getting the job done. Seems to be very efficient on most surfaces, wet or dry and powerful enough not to clog up. Pleased with purchase – take care when assembling the parts together – I connected the nozzles together and unfortunately I did not realise there were arrows on the nozzle that had to be aligned – as a result the mouth of the vacuum is upside down – I take responsibility for not reading the instruction regarding aligning the arrows on the nozzles- I do think the manufacturer could improve the locking connection for the nozzles for example the locking buttons are different sizes or not in exact opposite position. I am hopeful with a little help from family we will be able to disconnect/separate the nozzles and realign them correctly. It works well although a bit fiddly to change from blower to vacuum – I do recommend the product and the Excellent customer service from Radmore and Tucker – good price and fast Dispatch and delivery.
