Huw Gronow –
What a game changer, far superior to the older tripod ladders, love the locking 3rd leg saves it opening when transporting. the Hidden leg location pins is far superior to the old” key ring” pull system. Plus leg extending is smoother and far more adjustable. These are something you see and think” no way that’s not for me16 ft on 3 legs” , but I would say that you will need to use them about 3 times and then some how you get used to it. We used to use the Henchman high step Maxi with the 3ft extension (which again is a good piece of kit) But that took 1/2 hr to build/assemble them bulky to move (yes wheel kit available) WHERE AS THESE are park & play so maneuverable by 1 person. Saves an hour build time compared to platform. especially when you want to get home after a days work.
If you take your time to set them up level you wont go wrong – There is a vertical line marked on a sticker (something more permanent would be better).
I honestly think that henchman missed a trick by not fitting a bubble float to the underside of one of the lower steps (now there’s an idea henchman).
Only criticism is the plastic caps on the top of 2 adjustable ladder legs have fallen out but more importantly the small ones covering the very ends of the top of ladder also popped out and the edge of the aluminium is exposed – If they where glued in that would be fab as they used to be welded over. But mine Tripods ladders are used almost daily and they do earn their keep. We also have a set of 12ft Pro which we purchased the same time. I will upgarde my old 10fts to Pro next they are that good.
Radmore & Tucker were brilliant They reserved the ladders for me and I collected them on the Saturday as no where else had physical stock (henchman sold out & were awaiting a delivery from their manufacturering dept). Ollie and the team were very welcoming & helpful and as I had driven 2.5hrs to get there. Easily located off main road so a doddle to find with no complicated directions.
