The Stihl FS131 is a powerful brushcutter for tougher jobs and larger areas of tall grass. It features the simplified starting, bike handle, control handle with stop butto. The 4-MIX® engine with larger tank means increased cutting time between filling.
Supplied with ADVANCE Universal double shoulder harness, metal grass blade and AutoCut mowing head.

STIHL 4-MIX® engine
You can always rely on STIHL to keep setting new benchmarks this time with 4-stroke mixed lubrication technology. The STIHL 4-MIX® engine, which runs on a fuel-oil mix just like a 2-stroke, offers the benefits without the compromises of 4-stroke power. STIHL 4-MIX® engine technology provides fast acceleration, more power, added torque, lower noise, reduced emissions and increased fuel efficiency to complete jobs quickly, quietly and more easily.
Decompression system
The decompression valve allows some of the compression pressure in the cylinder to escape, so less force on the starter rope is needed.
Air filter with long service life
The easily accessible paper filter with a long service life means it can go for long intervals without changing.
Manual fuel pump (Purger)
A small fuel pump delivers fuel to the carburettor at the touch of a button. This reduces the number of starting strokes required following extended breaks in operations.
Bike handle
When used in conjunction with a harness, the bike handle enables a smooth mowing action. The bike handle allows the machine to be easily guided, making it ideal for working on large areas and thus reducing fatigue.
Anti-vibration system
Intense vibration at the handles of power tools can lead to long-term effects on blood vessels in the hands and arms. STIHL has therefore developed an effective anti-vibration system whereby the oscillations from the machine’s engine are dampened which significantly reduces vibrations at the handles.
Multi-function handle
All the engine and speed controls are easily accessible and at your finger tips.
Tool-free handle adjustment
The handle bar can be easily adjusted to suit the users working position via the tool-free handle adjustment clamp.
ADVANCE Universal Harness
Soft padding makes work more comfortable during longer jobs.
Stop switch
The multi-function control handle features a stop switch which automatically reverts back to the start position for a quicker, simple restart.

Bought to strim around trees in new 2 acre Orchard, very pleased, starts first time, less noise but more power than a 2-stroke. I’ve had other brands of strimmer that that have given up after 20 hrs – I’m still hanging on to then in the naïve belief that I might get time to fix them, but still not working despite a new carb! This STIHL just gets on with the job. I guess you get what you pay for. Very pleased with the price and service offered by R&T; I’ve bought other bits and pieces and my brother a new chain saw! Would not hesitate to recommend.

Great strimmer at a good price from Radmore & Tucker the FS 131 comes with much easier starting when hot compared to the fs130 which was finicky and hard work even for a professional user. The large tank and more economical engine goes a lot longer between refills. Hopefully the 4 mix engine will last many years.
