The Stihl RM 248 T Self Propelled Petrol Lawnmower has been developed to effortlessly mow medium-sized lawns up to 1200m². The single-speed drive allows you to mow the lawn without having to push the mower, great for steep and larger lawns. Featuring foldable handlebars with a super-soft grip, the RM248T offers a compact storage solution and extra comfort when pushing across the lawn. Simple operation of the central seven-setting cutting height adjustment enables an extremely precisely cut lawn at heights from 25 to 75 mm. The large 55-litre grass catcher box ensures fast mowing with fewer breaks. The RM 248 T comes with a 5 year extended domestic warranty (subject to registration and annual servicing).

Easy start engine (ReadyStart)
Thanks to the ReadyStart technology, the engine of the STIHL petrol lawn mower can be reliably started up with minimal effort both during cold and warm starting.
Self-propelled
Self-propelled STIHL lawn mowers take the effort out of lawn mowing. The drive mechanism propels the mower without it physically having to be pushed. This makes working easier, especially on large lawns and inclines.
Highlift blade
The highlift blade gives a precise finish to the lawn and ensures optimal filling of the grass catcher box. The blade creates a strong air current in the housing, which makes the grass stand upright before cutting and efficiently carries the clippings into the catcher box using an integrated and powerful air flow system.
Smooth running wheels
The smooth running wheels of the STIHL lawn mowers are extremely robust and hard-wearing. They have been equipped with a traction pattern and directional stability tread pattern for effortless manoeuvring and to help hold perfect line during mowing.
Super soft grip
The super soft grip is comfortable to hold, especially when used over longer periods.
Foldable handlebar
Thanks to its foldable handlebars, the lawn mower can be made even more compact for space-saving storage or for transport.
Sheet steel deck
The torsion-resistant sheet steel deck is extremely durable and built to last.
Central cutting height adjustment
The central cutting height adjustment is spring-loaded, which makes it easy to set the desired cutting height in several settings. The current height is indicated by a scale.

Have owned this for 3 months now and very pleased with it overall – certainly good value for money. Cuts well and very simple to operate with a relatively quiet engine. Have previously used a high-spec Honda (worth twice this) and to be honest this isn’t as inferior as i expected it to be. Only slight negative i would mention is that the drive speed is a bit too fast – probably a great speed if you are able to cut the grass every week, but if you only get round to it every 2 weeks like i do then you do have to abandon the self-drive at various points on the lawn or it doesn’t have time to cut effectively.
Overall am definitely happy with the purchase considering the price paid.

Arrived within 12 hours of ordering on a pallette. Mower is brilliant and has halved mowing time (45 mins instead of 1.5 hours). Didn’t realise it would have such a pull and nearly had me off my feet till I got used to it. Copes really well with a very hilly and undulating garden. Starts fairly easily and makes easy work of mowing.
