This lawn mower is built with a sheet steel deck, a 51 cm cutting width and single point height adjustment that is adjustable between 20 – 100 mm. The EVC 205 engine is easy to start too meaning you can effortlessly get to work. And on a full tank of fuel the RM 253 T can mow lawns up to 1800 m2.
The RM 253 T has 4 different ways of mowing. No additional tools are required but we do recommend you refer to the owner’s manual before working. You can either:
- Cut & collect with the grass catcher box fitted
- Cut & drop by removing the grass catcher box
- Side discharge with the flap that is integrated into the deck
- Mulch with the multi-blade and mulching attachment
The comfort mono-handlebar allows easy access to the grass catcher box, making it easier to remove and empty when it’s full – plus, thanks to the fill level indicator on the grass catcher box you’ll know exactly when to empty the box too! The 55-litre grass catcher box is ergonomically designed and easy to fully open for fast emptying. The sturdy mono-handlebar is height adjustable and foldable for compact storage after use.

An absolute treat! Having had a couple of Hondas in the past I was reluctant to change to Stihl, but what a pleasure this is. It’s heavy but well designed for lifting if you have to. Started first time, easy to handle, high capacity cuttings box and I’m looking forward to mulching! Everything is thought through and well designed

Only used it once since it arrived (excellent delivery service btw), but it has been an extremely promising start. Would definitely recommend spending an hour to read the instructions properly first, as there are many important tips about initial set up and the right fuel and oil to use (for example, my previous petrol mower used 2 stroke oil, but this one needs 4 stroke). Starts really easily, handles long grass really well (I hadn’t mowed the lawn for a month as always do “No-Mow May”) and the folding handle is a great feature as it takes up less space in the shed, despite being about 50% bigger than my old one. Would certainly recommend.
