Compact, robust and well-balanced, the STIHL GTA 40 cordless saw impresses with its cutting performance, ease of use, high output and long battery life. Powerful and equipped with numerous features, it is perfectly suited for professional use. The GTA 40 is approved for use by trained arborists to make cuts in the crown of the tree.

Kit Option is supplied with 2 x AS 2 Batteries , 1 x AL 5-2 Hi-Speed Double Battery Charger and a case (which can hold the GTA 40, the charger and up to 6 batteries). The batteries and chargers are compatible with other STIHL AS SYSTEM battery-powered devices.

    the only Stihl tool i owned till now is a battery operated small bush prooning cutter like a mini hedge cutter until i saw the gt40 pruning saw and i contemplating some big tree pruning on a fifty foot lime tree so i paid the high price for me at least i have several chain saws strimmers mowers , So i started work with my new gta 40 on saturday night sunday monday and today tuesday 15 april 2025 but by sunday night i was ready to phone my supplier to tell him how absolutly impressed i am with it in a few ways as an engineer the cutting power the quality of the chain the oilers quality performance it certainly uses some with results i can see why the price is what it is because i can see we get our monies worth iwill respond after a time of use thank you
