Chopping is often faster than sawing or cutting. The NATA is a cross between a knife and an axe. It is forged in SKS-51 (JIS) steel and the special Genki rubber grip absorbs the shock very well: the vibrations are hardly transmitted to the hand or arm.

  • Authentic Premium Japanese Steel
  • Blade length: 240 mm
  • Dimensions: 460 x 125 x 45 mm
  • Weight: 875 g

This version is double ground (sharpened on both sides), for splitting wood.

The NATA is also available as single ground (sharpened on one side only), for chopping off small branches, debarking trees and layering hedges – available here.

  1. Paul Hinchcliffe (verified owner) –

Very well made, shaving sharp out of the box and more heft than a traditional machete, equals a tool that requires very little effort to use. Very similar to a hatchet but with three times the cutting edge. I would definitely recommend this tool, it would be really good tool for the bush crafting community.
