This handle also makes mowing on slopes or uneven terrains even easier! The FSA 200 R has a powerful EC motor and speed-adjustment on the control handle, which can be set at 3 different speed levels depending on the type of work you are doing. Plus, there is an energy saving mode on the handle too for when your battery is low on energy.

The air filter on the housing ensures that the engine is kept cool during work, improving the service life of the brushcutter. It’s easy to remove and clean too. The FSA 200 R comes with the AutoCut C 26-2 as standard but can also be fitted with other STIHL cutting tools, such as the TrimCut, DuroCut, PolyCut, GrassCut, BrushCut and WoodCut cutting tools. It also has a mounting point for the STIHL Smart Connector 2 A on the power tool housing.

    20/09/2025. I have not yet had the opportunity to fully use my new Stihl FSA 200R Cordless Brushcutter (FA03-200-0007) which I ordered on 07/08/25 and received within a few days. I also bought a AL501 Hi-Speed Battery Charger, a AP500S High Capacity Battery, an Advance Universal Harness, and a brush knife blade, thrust washer, collar nut and rider plate. Thanks to Charlie for sorting out these last four items of what I needed. I am a complete amateur and have never used a brushcutter before but I own about 4 acres of woodland part of which is quite thickly covered by sycamore plants and small saplings that I intend to get rid of. I am very pleased with all the purchases. I am 72 and not very strong and the brushcutter is quite heavy but having practiced with it a bit in my garden (!) I think I can manage this professional machine in my woodland. I intend to write again once I have used it properly. GrD

    25/09/2025. I have now used the Stihl FSA 200R Brushcutter in my wood. The ground is very uneven and covered with grasses, nettles, blackberries, other plants and fallen branches. I used a metal brush knife blade, etc., rather than the mowing head that is supplied with it as some of the sycamore saplings are quite big. The machine is powerful and I did not have any problems. A shoulder strap is supplied so I have not yet used the harness that I purchased which I am sure would be more comfortable. GrD
