A great product at a very good price from Radmore & Tucker.
Delivered day after ordering.
Batteries are same as my Stihl hedge trimmer, but sadly the extension bars are not interchangeable.

I chose this model because it uses the same batteries that I use in another machine plus it’s light enough for prolonged work. Some more powerful pole saws just get too heavy after a while. I find it has just enough power and bar size for the tree trimming jobs I need it for whilst being very easy to use. Battery life is also decent. Price and the delivery service from Radmore was excellent as always.

Perfect tool for higher reach branches. Didn’t expect anything less from Stihl, like most of us, who have started crossing over to battery eco systems. ‘Buy once, Buy right’ I have a Stihl chainsaw so it made sense to buy this for the intended job, use time of 10 minutes had no impact on the charge, and the tool made such light work of the job; I wonder why I never purchased one before. Top piece of kit. ?

Fabulous bit of kit. Much better than expected. I thought it would struggle compared to my petrol chainsaw. But no. Cuts straight through good sized branches with ease. Should have got one along time ago.

I’ve phoned RadmoreTucker to make sure that the price being advertised is correct . Customer service was very helpful and I went online to order the stihl cordless pruner. To my amazement, the next day it arrived as I was told it might be few days, what an absolute incredible service.
I had few questions I needed to ask and all been answered with courtesy and plenty of knowledge. Thank you.

I already have batteries and charger for a hedge trimmer so bought the pole saw as well. It’s excellent! Very light, easy to use, a good length and cuts branches effortlessly. It works much better than my petrol combi tool (that isn’t a Stihl). A great price and very quick delivery with courier helpfully giving a 2hr time slot.

Bought as upgrade to manage orchard trees and over-hanging hedgerow trees. Our third piece of kit in the same Stihl series. All excellent. Bought 30 Ah battery to supplement existing 20Ah. By time batteries starting to run out of steam, so am I!

Great piece of equipment that has already been put to good use. We considered cheaper alternatives but reverted to Stihl as we have other cordless equipment from the same manufacturer. Service from Radmore & Tucker couldn’t be faulted as ordered one day and here at 9.15am the next. Brilliant!

A good product at a very good price from Radmore & Tucker.
Delivery delayed due to stock shortage but was kept informed and it was delivered before xmas.
Bought it as batteries are same as my Stihl hedge trimmer. Unfortunately the extension bars are not interchangeable so had to buy separate extension.

Stihl HTA 50 Battery/Cordless Pole Saw – 10″ Bar & Chain :
Arrived promptly and well packaged. An excellent, very efficient product, such as I have come to expect from the Stihl brand. The added bonus is that it uses the same batteries and charger as the excellent Stihl leaf blower bought last autumn.
After just two days’ experiences of it’s use, I would strongly recommend this product.

Great pole saw, good price, simple to use and made light work of the leylandii trees overpowering our house.

Great tool, powerful enough to go through quite thick branches. I used it to cut back an overgrown thorn bush. Fast delivery and a good price.

I usually buy all my Stihl equipment from Charlie’s Direct, but they were out of stock of the HTA50 and extension shaft. I then ordered via Just Lawnmowers, whom I had used before. They called me and said they couldn’t deliver for 2 weeks due to the box size so back to Google where I found Radmore Tucker and I’m so glad I did. The service and experience has been second to none and they were a full £45.00 cheaper for these 2 products and my order was delivered the next day. I couldn’t be happier and will definitely use this company again. The HTA50 is a brilliant piece of kit and well worth the money.

I needed a pole saw for a few jobs which have got out of hand around the garden & paddock (couple of acres). After a review of the options available I purchased the Stihl HTA 50 Cordless Pole Saw.
First, excellent price & great service from from Radmore & Tucker (as before, good company to deal with).
Now for the Stihl HTA 50. It’s a fixed length 2.8m pole saw with a 10 inch saw head and (importantly) an chain oil dispenser.
Certainly seems to be a well made piece of kit, especially at the price point (I didn’t have a compatible battery ‘cos my kit is mainly Makita, so pole saw, inc charger & battery was £370) and the Stihl does exactly what you expect it to do (I have pruned 3 inch branches at height with ease). However, whilst it is well-balanced, it is reasonably heavy (approx 6kg) and, crucially, it is a fixed length saw. So, the saw is perfect if you are trimming overhanging branches (eg along-side a field), but is cumbersome to use when trying to cutback out of control hedging because the fixed-length 2.8m pole means it is cumbersome and you can’t get close enough!
All in all, an excellent piece of kit for the money and I will definitely get my use out of it in the paddock (over-hanging trees need the crowns raised & maintained so I can mow more easily), but because of it’s 2.8m fixed-length it’s less use to me with the garden beech hedging.
All in all, would I recommend it? Yes, but dependent on what you want it for perhaps a telescopic pole saw would be more flexible/general help.
