    Try before you buy maybe! It’s sturdy and cuts very well but (for me) a bit hard to control at full extension.

    Simply stunning. Whilst management of a long pole is always going to be a skilled job, the HTA 86 make short work of pruning high and difficult to reach limbs, Control and function is first class. If you want a tool that makes work swift, easy and top class while doing so quetly then this is is the way ahead. A professional tool at its best. Highly recommended.

    The various promo videos don’t do it justice. It has a lot more grunt and use than as seen with the piddling 1 inch little easy access branches. As for girls holding in unextended, at a high angle – trivial. Try it fully extended and more out horizontal. Seeing what you are cutting (as a right hander), especially at a distance, is near impossible. Some skills needed to handle well. Makes easy work of 10 inch timber. Good power, even in hard cold weather. Opens all sorts of opportunities that you never conceived with the usual handheld powersaw. Handling other than when at work can be a challenge. Finding where to put it down safely when in the thick of work. Storing when not in use. I doubt that you’ll be able to carry it in your car. For battery powered, it works well. You’ll tire before a charged battery does, especially if working extended. My biggest beef with the pole saw is the forward safety, this can be near impossible to move and lock out while holding the saw at some angles. That detail needs an update. As for Radmore&Tucker – exemplary. Couldn’t ask for better (though I’ve not had any problems for them to handle yet).

    Brilliant bit of kit – cuts through large branches with ease – Takes a bit of getting used to fully extended but I am nearly 70 and find it pretty easy to use as a non professional gardener.
