The Treehog THLD1 lower-wrap lowering device is a lightweight friction device used to add friction in to the rope set up to help with controlled loweing of cut limbs. The Treehog THLD1 lowering wrap loweing device measures 265mm x 230mm x 75mm and is made from galvanised steel, it is an economical lowering device, with its main advantages being light weight and easy to set up. It is normally attached to the base of the tree with a loopie or round sling, the lower-wrap can be used with a mechanical advantage pulley system for lifting and lowering. The lowering device has been tested to a maximum breaking strain of 50kN which gives it a safe working load of 10kN.
The device comes in a useful zip-up canvas bag.
