This lightweight Stihl Function Basic Helmet Set has a large nylon visor and elastic visor seals on the helmet to protect against the ingress of dirt. Low profile ear muffs provide good sound protection.

This function basic helmet has vents in the upper part of the helmet chamber and its visor screen has glare protection. The pin-lock closure allows for easy adjustment of the headband. Complies with EN 352, EN 397, EN 1731

Helmet ventilation
Thermography shows the advantages of a helmet with standard ventilation (right). The temperature fell by two to three degrees and the humidity increased by 50%.

Nylon mesh
Flexible nylon mesh is the most widely used face mask, displaying higher durability and reducing the risk of breakage. Please note that the additional use of safety glasses is highly recommended.

    As always Stihl have nailed it. As a gardener I do a lot of hedges and tree work and needed a good helmet without a massive price tag. Stihls basic function helmet ticks all the boxes. Well ventilated, light weight, superb hearing protection and very comfortable. Radmore & tucker delivered my helmet very quickly and well packed as always. My only con, the visor isn’t best suited for extended periods of chainsaw use, the mesh can let in saw dust after a while, easily fixed by taking regular pauses or wearing eye defenence. Overall very very pleased!

    Having used a cheap helmet with plastic visor that was difficult to see through I thought it time to get a proper one. Along with other items purchased this Stihl helmet arrived promptly and although it took a few minutes to assemble turned out to be superb. Would recommend it to anyone.

    I’ve given it 5 stars as it is a comfy, well fitting helmet with great noise reduction from the ear pads, which have plenty of room in them for my samsung ear buds, enabling me to add more noise reduction from their noise cancelling while listening to the radio or my music while I work.
    Once together it is great, but although I had 3 very thick instruction manuals included in the box, not one of them told me how to put it together.
    I had to use the picture on the box to do it. Thankfully, using that, it wasn’t too difficult to do.
    Now to see how long it lasts like this, as my older one was 7 years old and had become a bit uncomfortable as the head padding had disappeared.
