STIHL EC-Engine

The STIHL brushless electric motor (EC) is very energy efficient and practically maintenance free. Thanks to its outstanding efficiency, the battery power is directly translated into impressive performance. During operation, the electronically controlled EC motor permanently monitors the load and adjusts the engine accordingly.

Battery slot

AP batteries can be inserted directly into the battery slot. This will make your work even more mobile and flexible.

Air filter with metal mesh

The easy-to-clean air filter ensures a long service life and optimum engine cooling.

Ergonomic control handle with speed adjustment

The speed can be controlled in three stages using the ergonomic control handle, which has a built-in LED display. This ensures energy-efficient work and longer running times.

Quick-release coupling

The quick-release coupling allows the KombiSystem to be quickly dismantled into two parts for easy transport and storage – and then re-assembled quickly without tools.

Loop handle

The loop handled grass trimmers and brushcutters are ideal for working in areas where space is limited, e.g. thinning between bushes and shrubs.

    Excellent, well made and robust piece of equipment. I’ve started to phase out my petrol machines to replace them with battery alternatives. The beauty of this is it becomes a one stop shop for gardening as you can and can’t change the tool heads over as quick as a flash and carry on with a different job. Would definitely pair this up with the AP300 S battery for a perfect combination.

    Great bit of kit, had mine a few months now, partnered up with the 300s battery. I am a convert to battery tools, I have the hedge trimmer, blower and chainsaw, with 3 300s battery’s. It’s the way to go , more reliable less noise and less fumes, makes my day so much more enjoyable.

    Fantastic engine. Only used so far with strimmer and blade attachment. Works easily just as well as my fs55 petrol strimmer without the need for fuel or ear defenders! Can’t wait to get the hedge trimmer, weed plate and blower attachments! Thank you very much Radmore & Tucker.

    Great bit of kit. Heavier than the Stihl KMA 130 R Battery-Powered KombiMotor . It should have a cover over the battery housing

    WOW! Ive been using the Stihl Kombi Tool system for about 10 years with the petrol engine. It’s so useful and versatile. However, I’ve just purchased the KMA 135 R from R&T. To start with, it was the best price I could find on line AND I got an extra AP 300 S battery free of charge with the current Stihl offer. The KMA 135 R is fantastic. The battery charges in about 15 minutes with the AL 500 hi-speed charger and was then sufficient for a couple of hours hedge trimming, blowing and strimming. The machine is so quiet, and when you release the throttle it’s silent. No need for ear defenders, no sore chest after breathing in 2 stroke, no disgruntled neighbours, no smelly clothes, no having to go to the petrol station and mixing the fuel when you’ve run out. It’s fantastic and a real game-changer for me. With the 2 batteries, I don’t need to stop to recharge. I’ve just ordered the protective foot for the base of the engine. Best Stihl tool I’ve bought in 25 years. Very highly recommended.
