The Stihl BGA 57 Cordless Leaf Blower is ideal for domestic users and is perfect for clearing jobs around the garden. Featuring a new design in line with other new STIHL releases, the blower also has an improved balance and better blowing performance –all whilst retaining a low weight (2.2 kg) and sufficient working time for domestic use (18 min with AK 20 battery).
The BGA 57 can be used without the need for ear protection. An adjustable blower tube allows you the choice of 3 lengths to suit the user’s height. The operator’s control handle is easy to use, with the trigger lockout designed symmetrically for right or left-handed use.
The BGA 57 is part of the AK System of tools, which includes grass trimmers, hedge trimmer, chainsaws and lawnmowers and uses interchangeable batteries that can be swapped between tools in the range.

Adjustable blowing nozzle
The blowing nozzle of the BGA 57 can be adjusted to the user’s height in 3 steps. This avoids a loss of blowing power due to excessive distance from the floor.

The device is perfectly balanced during operation to reduce fatigue.
Ergonomic soft grip
The soft grip absorbs some of the vibrations and is extremely easy to grip.
Eyelet for wall mounting
There is a hanging opening in the handle housing where you can hang the device securely on the wall.

Good quality from Stihl as usual. This blower is powerful and quiet. Battery life of 20 minutes (using AK20 battery) might be a problem for some, but it meets my needs. My only niggle is the adjustment of the blower tube length; it is not immediately obvious which way to twist and is quite stiff to move. Once set you can forget about it though !! Overall very pleased with this purchase.

I already have a Stihl battery hedge trimmer, which I have been really pleased with, so thought I would add a leaf blower. This is a brilliant piece of kit, much quieter than petrol and relatively light. Twenty minutes or so running time is adequate for my requirements, but always worth having a second battery as back-up. My only minor criticism is the difficulty in extending the length. Luckily the shortest length is ideal for me – when I attempted to extend it I was unable to shift it. Not so good for us senior citizens with arthritic hands!
