Bought the Husqvarna 562XP MKII body only from Radmore & Tucker at a great price. I then purchased a 24” Husqvarna Light bar with X-Cut C85 chain from a different supplier to complete my new chainsaw.
With a 24m per second chain speed, its first task was bucking a storm felled oak tree, which it did without missing a beat. Everything is dialled in as expected from the factory and with the Mark II auto tune engine, the 95Ron fuel / Stihl HP super engine oil mix I use caused zero issues.
Cutting speed is fast, with Oak and Beech trees having been the tests so far and it’s passed both hardwoods with flying colours. Super well balanced with the 24” light bar, I have no doubt it would be the same with a 28” light bar, which may well be my next addition.
I love the narrow body design too which just seems to work well, and it looks great too. So it’s early doors but this new saw has so far ticked all the boxes for my purposes.

Review update:
5 months in and two modifications and this already great stock saw has been transformed.
The 1st mod was the addition of Husqvarna’s double dog teeth.
A bit of bling more than anything but they do look great. Unfortunately however, I was finding that the engine wanted to bog down during felling and bucking of beech if I dug the teeth in west coast style. This then led to my decision to modify the muffler with a simple 25mm dia x 28mm 316 s/s seamless pipe. Drilled with a 23mm core drill, weld and spray with high heat Matt black and reattach. The result is absolutely amazing.
A qualified 26% increase in a controlled cutting speed test has absolutely transformed the saw. Yes it’s louder and yes it negates the warranty but the change in how it now cuts and holds revs, particularly when digging the teeth in is unbelievable.
This is now a 5 star plus rating for the 562XP MKII and I seriously couldn’t be happier.

What a beast of a saw, i bought it to replace a MS261 with a bit more flexibility on what bar size i can have and for the price this stood out to me. Very similiar weight wise so can be used in a tree comfortably and from first fire up it has impressed me. It is now my go to saw. Having used a mk1 550 previously with the issues with hot-starting, i was a little dubious but so far i am very impressed.

I have had some experience of Husqvarna over the years and although a natural left -hander these saws make a job easier than most. I make no great modifications so they work “straight out of the box” for me. Delivery was quick and the contents were complete. Could not argue over the price which drew me to the Radmore & Tucker website. I will be using it again. (Michael)
