The Root Assassin Shovel is designed for clearing overgrown areas of garden, landscape and forest. The all-purpose saw and shovel with serrated edges on both sides, has a unique ability to cut roots quickly and easily whilst digging. The patented ‘teeth’ do the hard work cutting both when digging in and pulling out. The engineered ‘bone structure’ steel shaft adds rigidity and strength without adding weight. Ordered this as I have a lot of large roots to get rid of. Tried this out for the first time on a large root next to a wall. Very easy to remove the root, glad I got the 48″ one, it has good hight and leverage. Definitely a good buy!

If only I’d had one years ago! Ive used mine already to clear soil choked with bamboo roots and other similar matter. Put your foot to it and you hear it slicing through, while the pointed end enables you to pinpoint the specific place you want to attack. Easy-grip handle, good weight and length (choose the 48″ for a decent pressure) – can’t praise it enough. It was recommended to me by a handyman gardener of our acquaintance. Bless him for doing so!
