The Silky TSURUGI is a light weight, durable tree saw, designed to easily cut through either hard or soft wood. Named after the Japanese word for ‘long sword’, the TSURUGI has a 300mm blade which will make light work of all your pruning and trimming jobs.
Quickly cutting through a variety of branches is made easy by the slim and highly durable ‘spine of teeth’, which is just 1.8mm wide. With 8.5 teeth per inch, the saw has been designed using advanced blade grinding techniques and made with high-quality SK4 high carbon steel. The blade makes the TSURUGI a really powerful saw, and professionals were impressed with its surgical precision and cutting power during the prototype stage of development.
The TSURUGI has been ingeniously designed with no nuts, handle screws or extraneous hardware. The handle is instead held together through integration with the blade tang. This has led to the TSURUGI being perhaps one of the lightest ‘big saws’ on the market, at only 240 grams without the protective sheath. The light weight of the saw reduces user fatigue, making small jobs quick and easy, and bigger projects much less tiring to complete.
The 2-part rubber grip is designed to be comfortable to hold and use, and the TSURUGI also comes with a protective sheath. The plastic sheath has eight rollers protecting the entryway, and provides an additional level of safety whilst storing or moving the saw. It has a clip which can be used to attach the sheath to the belt or leg, depending on user preference, allowing the saw to be safely and easily transported whilst moving or climbing a ladder.
