The HY2179 is a cordless angle grinder from Hyundai’s brand new 20v MAX range. Boasting a 4Ah battery, it is ideal for restoring old cars, cleaning rust or paint from metal, making precise cuts in tiles (especially useful when tiling around toilets or baths!), polishing metal surfaces to prepare for a new coating or grinding away stone or concrete.

With an 8500rpm no-load speed and 125mm / 5” disc diameter, this angle grinder is capable of a huge range of tasks, making it an essential tool for your home, garage, workshop or business. Note that 115mm discs can also be used with this angle grinder.

Easy To Use Cordless Grinder

Featuring our interchangeable 4.0Ah lithium-ion battery for longer periods of use between charges, this cordless grinder features a 3-position auxiliary side handle, which makes it easy and comfortable to cut, grind or polish at a variety of different angles. This adjustable handle also makes it suitable for both left and right-handed operation.

For ultimate safety, this 20V angle grinder features a sliding power switch that will prevent accidental starting.

With tool-free guard adjustment, you can easily install or remove the guard as well as adjust it to a variety of different angles.

Lightweight at just 2.75kg including the battery, this angle grinder also features a rubberised body for extra comfort and additional grip. Its compact size makes it easy to use even in the most tight or awkward spaces. The handle also includes storage for the spanner included with the grinder, so you’ll always have it with you regardless of where you use your angle grinder.
