Cordless hedge trimmer with very powerful cutting performance for demanding applications, such as trimming bushes and tall hedges. Laser-cut, diamond-ground and hardened blades, blade geometry in a patented teardrop shape for perfect cuts and a healthy hedge. Teardrop-shaped shrub cutter
The double-sided shrub cutter with proven STIHL teardrop-shaped teeth delivers top cutting performance. The teardrop shape means that branches are held securely at the blade for perfect cutting results. The shrub cutter’s bar length of 200 mm is ideal for precisely shaping small-leaved ornamental trees and hedges.

Anti-vibration system
Intense vibration at the handles of power tools can lead to long-term effects on blood vessels in the hands and arms. STIHL has therefore developed an effective anti-vibration system whereby the oscillations from the machine’s engine are dampened which significantly reduces vibrations at the handles.

STIHL Electric Motor (EC)
The STIHL electric motor (EC) is extremely energy efficient, lightweight and compact. It runs quietly, generates very low vibrations and does not require servicing.

Hanging loop
Hang your tool securely on a wall to save space using the loop in the handle housing.

Neutral battery position
The battery can be inserted into the tool in 2 stages. In the first neutral position, the battery is secured in the tool but does not connect with the contacts, allowing for safe transport. In the second operating position, the battery is completely inserted allowing for full operation of the tool.

Pruning system
The single-sided precision-ground and double-sided cutting blades produce a very clean cut when trimming hedges. The 33° cutting angle delivers excellent cutting performance. The blade teeth geometry allows cutting of twigs up to 8 mm thick.

Scabbard
Protects the cutting blade for safe storage and transport.

Tip protection
Come with tip protection as standard, which prevents damage to both the blade and the gear, but also to things that lie near the hedgerow (e.g. natural stone wall). It also makes it easier to cut ground cover plants. (similar to illustration)

Two handed design
The tool is easily started by activating both switches on the loop handle and the rear handle at the same time. Functional design
The engine housing has smooth surfaces and round contours. This prevents the tool from getting caught on branches. The hedge trimmers are easy to clean.

    Apprehensive to start with as I am just over 5’ tall and not young. But now I feel confident enough to tackle a 5’ high hedge. Quiet, and a sharp cut, doesn’t mangle the shoots as my old trimmers did. Weight is heavier though.

    Nice quick delivery. Cutter capacity is good 34mm so about 30mm in practice. Battery lasts ok but glad that I bought a spare AK20. Remains to be seen how well the electric system lasts

    Had seen the Stihl HSA 60 as a best buy with Which. Radmore and Tucker were offering the full package (unit plus charger plus two batteries) for a very good price.
    Was not disappointed 😀. All arrived quickly and properly and safely packaged. The unit is large, but not too heavy or cumbersome to use. It works like a dream and in two afternoons I trimmed approximately 300ft of overgrown mixed conifer and beech – the long cutting blade really helps and the battery life is excellent. My arms needed a rest before the battery required charging 😂. It cuts effortlessly through 1cm thick branches and charging time is approximately 30 minutes. Overall the Stihl HSA 60 is absolutely amazing for a cordless hedge trimmer.
    No regrets.

    Have always liked Stihl. Excellent piece of kit. But just wondered if the finish is not quite as good as it used to be. Not as good a the long handled hedge trimmer I bought a couple of years ago. Wouldn’t stop me buying Stihl again in the future.

    The hedge trimmer was significantly delayed from Stihl (about 6 weeks) but I was kept well informed by R & Tucker and given the opportunity to have my money back. I can’t fault their service. I had to use my long reach Stihl trimmer instead of what I hoped would have been a lighter short version. I would expect the new trimmer to be as reliable as all the other Stihl products I have. This would have been 5 stars if not for Stihl.

    This seems to be a very good trimmer. I have only used it once since it arrived but first impressions are very good. Like a previous reviewer delivery was delayed because of supply problems from Stihl. Radmore and Tucker were excellent in keeping me informed and delivery was very prompt as soon as it came into stock. The trimmer and R&T service are excellent so, for all things that were in their control, a clear 5 stars.

    I bought this to replace an HSA56 which had given good service, the cutter bar and cam needed replacing and the parts cost more than the original machine so
    decided to upgrade to the HSA60.
    I called the customer service desk to make sure my batteries were compatible, the person I spoke to was very helpful and said they had just had a delivery. I placed an order and the hedge trimmer arrived the next day!
    Exceptional service, I wouldn’t hesitate to use Radmore and Tucker again.

    I’ve been using a Petrol Husqvarna 225H75 Hedge trimmer for years now and whilst a good tool it’s an absolute sod to start – once running it does it’s job but too much faffing around, fuel oil etc not sure if this E10 petrol is at the root of it’s issues. Anyway decided to go electric OMG I should have done this years ago – It’s so effortless in fact I was looking for issues that didn’t exist! I didn’t look forward to cutting the hedges but with this unit it’s a breeze. I highly recommend it.

    Excellent hedge trimmer. Heavier than a corded as you would expect but not overly so and like all Stihl products, very well balanced which means you don’t notice the weight. Super sharp blades and whisper quiet.The extra length in the blade is very useful. Battery also charges in 30 mins. All in all a brilliant machine.

    I bought this to replace a petrol hedge trimmer that I’d had for over 20 years, I find that I use the battery trimmer more often than I did the petrol one, mainly because it’s a lot lighter, I use an AK 30 S battery and find the run time more than adequate to cut the hedges I have. The blades are nice and sharp, Radmore & Tucker were great to deal with, great price and super fast delivery.

    What a splendid bit of kit. While it weighs about the same as my petrol stihl, it is really well balanced and cuts at the first pass. I nearly bought the hsa 50 but the extra features are really worthwhile. Worries over “range anxiety ” are quickly dispelled as I need recharging before the battery run out. No starting issues, no engine noise, no fuel mixing or cost.. what’s not to like.
