The Stihl FSA 45 grass trimmer/brush cutter is perfect for trimming lawn edges in smaller gardens. It is lightweight, quiet and simple to use, with a built-in Lithium-Ion battery that you plug in and charge like you would charge a phone.
The LED charge level indicator on the side of the tool shows you how much battery life is left at the touch of a button. The loop handle helps you to guide the trimmer exactly where you need it and is easily adjusted without the need for tools. The shaft is also extendable, whilst the mowing head can be turned on its side, which is particularly useful for vertical edge trimming.
The FSA 45 comes with plastic Polycut blades, which are really quick and easy to replace, without having to use any tools. They are extremely efficient and give a precise finish to the lawn. Pre-cut mowing line can also be fitted to the head but it is not included with the FSA 45 and will need to be bought separately.

Telescopic shaft
With 8 adjustable positions along a length of 170 mm, the FSA can be optimised to match the user’s size, ensuring ergonomic working and a less tiring job – and without the need for a separate tool.
Adjustable loop handle
The loop handle can be adjusted in 6 increments up to an angle of 120°.
Adjustable mowing head
The mowing head can be tilted in 4 increments up to an angle of 48°.
Vertical edge trimming
The mowing head can pivot through 90° for precise lawn edge trimming.
Charge level indicator
The remaining working or charging time can be viewed at any time by pressing the button. Four LEDs light up, or flash green or red, to indicate the charging state or problems.
Storing spare blades
The PolyCut blades can be easily replaced if worn. Up to five spare blades can be conveniently stored on the tool.
Spacer bracket
The FSA 45 has a spacer bracket for precise and efficient trimming around plants and other objects. It can be folded out or down as required.
Activation key
The tool can only be used with the activation key. If the key is removed, the tool switches off to guard against unintentional activation. The tool can be safely stored and transported.
Charger cable
The STIHL HSA 45 draws its power from an integrated 18V lithium-ion battery. The battery is easily charged using the charger cable.
Compact and ergonomic
The integrated battery cells mean that the tool is optimally balanced. The FSA is easy to handle. Its streamlined design creates plenty of room for manoeuvre.

Great little strimmer. Charged from new relatively quickly. Easy to store, nice and light which my wifes likes. Easy to set up. It would have been a 5 star, but the safety key which you need to plug in the machine to use it is very small. Easy to loose and you only get one with the kit. Yes you can keep in plugged in, but then what’s the point in having it?

Nice item, own and have used many Stilhl products and not disappointed with this either. Lightweight and very easy to use currently using blades which for the amount of grass that we need to strim appears to work ok. Quite quick to charge and holds for about 20 minutes before needing a recharge.
