The Makita DLM538Z push-type battery lawn mower with plastic deck is powered by two 18V Li-ion LXT slide-type batteries, to supply energy to the powerful 36V motor, with soft start for smooth start-ups, to deliver up to 3,000 rpm.

The DLM538Z features a soft start motor and an electric brake that stops cutting blade rotation almost instantly when the operation lever is released. A generous 70-litre grass box is simple to empty and features a grass level indicator to save wasted trips to the compost bin. Ten cutting heights are available between 20-100mm and easily adjusted with a single cutting height lever, and folding handle for compact storage.
